Family Pictures

For my christmas gift to my mother in law I had the whole family take pictures. I was able to get Janis Ryan from PNG to take them for me and she did a wonderful job! Here are my Favs

It's 2011!!!!!!

Well 2010 is done and 2011 is here. Time flies so much faster now than it had when i was young.
Well here is a summery of what happened to the Bertrands during the second half of 2010, since i last posted ( i know it was awhile back wasn't it)
Well Of course the biggest news is that I'm Certified to Teach 8-12th grade History..... Not! ... Some how i have missed one history class. This class is Historical Research... more on this later.

-But I did finish my Student Teaching, which I truly L-O-V-E-D! I was at PNG- Port Neches Groves
Go Indians
High School. My master teacher was Mrs. Nichols who teaches U.S. History (11th graders) and is the head sponsor to the Indianetts (their Drill Team). The kids at... i mean young adults ;) at PNG are great and made the semester very memorable for me, oddly i have no pictures though, Ohh well. I may not Bleed Purple i did enjoy them. Afterall i was able to experience the biggest Rivary in Texas... well second according to Foxsports... they even have a website dedicated to the game http://midcountymadness.com/ too funny, right?? Well it pulls you in and I loved it!! GO INDIANS!!!
I was able to be the Sub for my classes as soon as I finished student teaching. The students were all i little shocked to see me thinking that i had finished the day before, Nice surprise... although with me they had to work and could not get away with as they could a normal Sub. Now i just need a Job to open up at PNG and I would be very happy... a job that isn't connected with any coaching ;)

-I also took an extra class while student teaching, an Independent Study class with Dr. Gwin. We picked to do 8 papers on Mary I. We ended up with 6 and decided that we had done enough on the subject. As most of you know I'm a BIG fan of the Tudor age in English History and having this as a subject made it more interesting. I'm very thankful to Dr. Gwin for doing this with me and i learned a lot about Mary Tudor that i did not know before. I really feel sorry for her and the obstacles in life that were placed before her, how can you not.

- Lets see what else happened, Ty and I had our 5th anniversary, I just can not believe that its been 5 years!!!! Man i feel old....

Dec 09- David and Angie with baby Elizabeth
 - The Month... well Week that Sucked!!!! The week of November 17th was the worse week imaginable. On my way home from work at PNG i got into an accident totally my wonderful Yaris. When I finally got home around 6ish i learned of the death of my cousin Davey. I just could not believe it.. still can't... I pray for god's guidance. Some of my students noticed the change the next few days and i had to really try to keep myself under control. But i totally lost in in church the following Sunday, and I mean l-o-s-t it. David was and is a great man which i wish i had keep it contact with more than i had... I was able to see him Dec '09 for his wedding, and I am thankful for that.
This same week my brother in law Marc also got into a wreck and my older sister's car committed suicide (although it did get better)... it was a crazy time.

-Christmas this year was great!!! We actually drove up and saw my folks for Christmas and quickly came home the same day... in my new car. Its a Hundai Eantra 08! I love it!
Well the Kids recieved more toys than we know what to do with, so for Sid's 4th birthday we will be headed out to Rusk to ride the train and not buy him more than a couple gifts.

-And for New Years we just went to bed.. i know it makes me sound like an old fuddy duddy... ohh well ;)

2010 Smith Family Reunion

Well it has come and gone, another Charlie and Edith Smith Family Reunion at Turner Falls. This annual event always seem to spring up on me Now that's i'm older with a family of my own. But i'm sure in a few more years Sidney and Elizabeth will keep my remembering it just as i did once upon a time.I can't believe this was our 11th year out there. It doesn't seem like it but wow!!

Thank goodness we, all but Ty, were able to go this year. We had a blast! I actually knew almost everyone there, except 3 people out of the 54(ish) that's like 95%. Although we were missing my Parents, Kat, Uncle Alan and his family, and all of the Whitney's. We missed All of you!!!

Well The weekend started off with a Blonde Moment, which you may not be too surprised at. I left my Bag at home, my clothes, bath stuff, electronic, sheets, and some towels were all left on my bed at home. Somehow i thought i had put them in the trunk but i hadn't, that's me. I had everything else and a good reason to shop. I did keep myself reeled in by only7 buying a few shirts and shorts and whatnot. I did got by 1/2 Price
Books, who can blame me, right? And I got the Neatest Book! a Wall Chart of World History, all 6,000 years of human history, is that COOL or what! (I'm such a nerd!)

Sidney really enjoyed the lake: fishing and canoeing. Thank you Charlie and Sallie for going out and watching him when i had Sissy to look after. I came home really wanting to go camping with Sid and Ty, hopefully we will have time.

Elizabeth like exploring the cabin and as much of outside as she could. A inflatable pool was brought for Sissy and Shawn-Shawn (my 2nd cousin). He was so cute with sissy, hugging on her and kissing through his passy. Too Cute!

My nephew and niece even got to go, it was their first time. We are so blessed that they could come, i know my brother Charlie loved it. I could believe how much they have grow, C-4 is 10 and Sabina 8, time sure does fly by. But then Everyone seems to have grown up Jordan and Shyanne especially, but then i baby sat them, once....
I didn't notice how much i miss them until now.

Well I was suppose to Study for my State History Teaching Exam, or work on my Independent Study Class on Henry VIII or Mary Tudor....but naturally that went out the window

SummerTime!

Hey! So its Summer. Yeah! I was wanting the summer to hurry up and get here all winter long, and naturally now i wish it wasn't to hot. better than the nasty wet winter we had. Go the baby pool out but its too small, we'll need to buy a bigger one. Also thinking about taking Sid to swimming lessons at a friends house, or i may just wait another year, idk...
Sidney has had his first Hair Cut for the Summer. Most people say they love it, but i kinda want his curls back.... ohh well...
Well Sissy can WALK so great now! She is too cute, even said Baby the other day when she reached out for her Baby Doll, TOOO CUTE!

So here is what has been happening, Ty has to have surgery on his finger to reconnect 2 flexor tendons in this right index finger, this was back on the 14th of June, and tomorrow on the 30th he will have to go back in to re connect one of the tendon.

So what else is happening, I'm attempting to sell dresses, baby blankets, whatever.. A friend of mine, Sharisa and I enjoy sewing and need some extra income so we decided to start selling stuff. So far we have not had much interest but i'm sure it will. Here are some things i've made, I love the baby blanket, Bib, and Burp Cloth Set, Turned out Great! And Sis's Alice in Wonderland Dress was too cute!

Over a Year Later!

Wow Where has the Time Gone!!!
Ok Well my family doesn't even look the same as it did... Now we have a beautiful 1 year old, Elizabeth. And Sidney is much older.... even acts older most of the time ;)
I am going to try to keep this Blog updated, Mom said i should give myself the goal of making a monthly post. I can do that, right?!?!
So what's happening now...... the Summer is upon us and that means so more Substitute Teaching. I've debated finding a job but i hate the idea of quitting in just a few months so that i can Student Teach. So a friend of mine, Sharisa and I may look into doing some crafty side job, perhaps making dresses, tutus, bows, something..... idk... we'll see
Other than this Life is good.... all but the gnats that don't wanna go away (life in the country...fun)
I'll try to keep you Posted! Watch our Little Princess take her first Steps!!!

In the mean time here are some recent photos:

Howdy

Everyone else has seemed to create one so I thought " Why Not!" So wish me luck on it. Our little family is just Me, Ann, my hubby, Tyson, and Sidney our almost 2 year old son. We are expecting number 2 in late May and we can't wait. I would love a little girl but either way I'm very blessed and happy.
I am going to TWU for a Master's in Education of the Deaf. and I really feel the weight of it right now! after Hurricane Ike hit I just can't get myself to do what I need to do, I've even gone back to playing World of Warcraft to avoid homework, my teachers (most of them) have been great and helpful I just don't have it in me and its Dec! OMG! right
anyhow.
This is us!
And our Pic is from last May... we really need to get a new one
